Allows the retrieval of information in regards to the Characters Tab data.  If you need to do anything that involves charactes (besides managing the party, which doesn't require this behavior at all).  More information on each of the different fields can be found on the Characters Tab page.

Here is a full list of the current custom blocks currently tied in to the Character Database Handler, and it is important to note that much of this same information is available by hovering over the custom block in Stencyl and looking to the bottom left side of the screen:

  • Get Name for Character <text> - Returns the name of the character as it appears in the database.  The <text> portion is where you can type in either the name of the character as it appears in the database, or the character's ID.
    Return Type: Text
  • Get ID for Character <text> - Returns the ID of a character as it appears in the database.  The <text> portion is where you can type in either the name of the character as it appears in the database, or the character's ID.
    Return Type: Number
  • Get Title for Character <text> - Returns the title of the character as it appears in the database.  The <text> portion is where you can type in either the name of the character as it appears in the database, or the character's ID.
    Return Type: Text
  • Get Description for Character <text> - Returns the description of a character as it appears in the database.  The <text> portion is where you can type in either the name of the character as it appears in the database, or the character's ID.
    Return Type: Text
  • Get Skill Points Per Level for Character <text> - Returns the Skill Points Per Level for a character as it appears in the database.  The <text> portion is where you can type in either the name of the character as it appears in the database, or the character's ID.
    Return Type: Number
