The Easy RPG Creator requires Stencyl 3.0 and above to work. If you do not have Stencyl, please visit their website here. To download Easy RPG Creator, check out this temporary download link here.
After installing the database and the kit, it is a good idea to go to Run, Clean Project. This should clear up any errors or anything that you may get.
Installation (Database)[]
To install the database (extension), there are several different methods you can use.
- Method 1: For Windows 7 Users
Navigate to: C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Roaming\Stencyl\stencylworks\extensions
Drag the RPGDatabaseExtension.jar (included in the download) into that folder and you are all done!
- Method 2: For Windows 7 Users
Go to Start -> Run and type in "%appdata%"
From there, navigate to Stencyl\stencylworks\extensions.
Drag the RPGDatabaseExtension.jar (included in the download) into that folder and you are all done!
- Method 3:
- Open up Stencyl, click on Debug, View, View Workspace Folder, click on stencylworks, then extensions. Once that folder is open, drag the RPGDatabaseExtension.jar (included in the download) file into that folder and you are all done!
Installation (Kit)[]
To install the kit portion, open up Stencyl and drag the included New Easy RPG Creator.stencyl file into the center window and you're ready to go.
Installation (Extras)[]
To install the extras folder, navigate to your game's folder. You can do this by opening Stencyl, clicking on Debug, View, View Folder for this Game. Simply drag and drop the extras folder in there and you are all set! You can also copy this folder from your game and paste it in other games that you are working on if you want them to have the same items/weapons/equipment/dialog/etc. that you have created.
